money for nothing and chicks for free
today i showed up to school with the help of the ever-lovely Sydni. it was there that i had received a solid B in my sociology class. given that i took my final drunk, that was a good way to end the class.
my more important post comes from my quick gab with the financial aid office about student loans of which i know nothing about. turns out im eliglble for the PELL grant in the full amount if i come back in the fall as a full-time student. meaning that! the government would be issuing me enough money each semester to cover all of my rent. after that i still plan on taking out some loans so that the rest of my academic career will be quite secure if my parents remain dirt poor, which i believe they will.
now then, my only stress comes from finding a job, which takes time, so that i may keep my current apartment and not have to move in with my boy Jonny or my other boy Daniel’s mom. she offered me his room when he goes to Boston this summer if i cant afford to keep my place.
i think i will be able to keep it though as i have mr. alves willing to move in with me to help make rent (and get away from his vicious mother) as well as my brother who can pay a few hundred a month, and maybe my little “step-brother” Cameron who is just begging to move back to vacaville. he has proven himself responsible now that he has his own place, gets food stamps, works full time, and hasn’t been in trouble with the law in over a year. only thing though, i told him he had to survive the summer before i let him move in with me in vacaville. he’s coming into town today so i will talk to him then.
after that i just have to have some stern talks with my brother about his “street art” as well as paying rent, buying groceries, and realizing that im his roommate if we live together, not his parent or his “bro.”
man oh man i need to survive this summer so that i can start getting government money to stay in school. my dreams are coming full-circle slowly but surely. hopefully california can hang onto their music programs long enough for me to get a job. if not, looks like it will be time for justin to move to a state that appreciates music education. do any of those even exist?
