after tonight i learned one thing. other musicians are my best friends. we can be open with each other emotionally even if we aren’t friends because we know the perils of the stage. the few people i think are my friends can never have that bond.
even if we are all sarcastic assholes to each other with emotional walls up to the world, it all comes out on and off the stage. with and without words, performance shows our true colors.
more people who “think” they know themselves should man up and put themselves in the spotlight. it really makes and breaks the individual.
i’ve been told i suck DAILY for years and each day it just makes me grow as a person. performance can only show your flaws and force you to improve yourself. i know like two people follow my blog but you need to seriously respect the few people you know who perform because its the biggest leap of faith you can take to put yourself up for all to judge.
